On July 31st only, Muracci's will be having a special "Muracci's Unagi donburi dish.
In Japan, there is a day which is called "Doyou no ushi no hi" and it has been our custom to eat eel on that day(Usually it is sumemr time).
We call eel "unagi" in Japan. The reason why we eat eel is because it is believed that if you eat the food which starts from a word "U" on that day, you will be surviving(it will give you strength) during the hottest season in the year.
Usually, the period of "Doyou" is 18-19 days.
"Ushi no hi" comes from the twelve signs of the Chinese(Japanese) zodiac, and "ushi" means cow, so there are two days which are called "ushi no hi" on the period of "Doyou".
And the fisrt "Doyou no ushi no hi" was on July 19th, but the second "Doyou no ushi no hi" is on July 31st.
